Banana Accounting Plus offers various features for analyzing costs, revenues, and results. The following pages explain the characteristics of each solution and when to use it.
Cost and Profit Centers
The Cost and Profit Centers in Banana Accounting Plus allow you to allocate costs and revenues to specific activities, departments, projects, or other analysis units, even if they are independent of one another. They allow you to monitor costs, revenues, and results separately, without changing the structure of the chart of accounts. For more information, see the Cost/Profit Centers page.
Segments
The Segments in Banana Accounting Plus allow you to systematically divide the accounting by organizational units, branches, sectors, or other business dimensions. For each segment, you can obtain a separate Income Statement and other reports, without having to create specific accounts for each unit. For more information, see the Segments page.
Projects, branches and sectors
To manage projects, branches, sectors, or other separate activities, Banana Accounting Plus allows you to use Cost Centers and Segments. Depending on your analysis needs, you can monitor the costs and revenues of individual activities or obtain separate reports for the different units of the organization. For more information, see the Projects, sectors and branches page.
