Cannot establish a secure connection

Causes

The application was unable to establish a secure SSL connection with the server and, to protect the data, the connection was automatically blocked.
This error occurs when the server's security certificate cannot be verified.

This can happen if:

  • The device date and time are not correct.
  • The network connection is not reliable.
  • The device or the network the user is connected to uses a VPN, a proxy, or a firewall that prevents the secure connection.
  • The operating system is not up to date.
  • The security certificate has expired or is not trusted.

Solutions

  • Check that the device date and time are correct.
  • Check the network connection:
    • Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
    • Try changing the network.
  • Temporarily disable VPN and proxy.
  • Check that a firewall is not blocking the secure connection.
  • Update the operating system.
