Cause
- The program tries to update an installed app by downloading the update from the banana.ch site it refers to. When this message appears, it means that the app on the remote server has been removed or renamed.
- The programme tries to download a template, but the file is not available.
Overall solution
- Check that you have installed the updated version of Banana Accounting.
Extension solution
The local app is still installed, to remove the error message you can:
- Remove the local app
From the Extensions menu > Manage extensions, select the extension that generates the error and click on the Uninstall button
Solution for the Swiss VAT extension beta version
The beta version of the Swiss VAT extension 2024 is no longer available online and must be removed manually. To uninstall the beta version and install the stable version of the extension, please proceed as follows:
- Close the dialogue displaying the message 'Unable to download ... Not Found'. If you have installed both VAT extensions (actual method and balance method) the message will appear twice.
- Click Cancel on the message 'Do you want to disable the extension '[BETA] Swiss VAT Return 2024...'
- Select the command from the menu Extensions > Manage Extensions.
- In the 'Manage Extensions' dialogue box, select the extension '[BETA] Swiss VAT Report 2024' and click the Uninstall button.
- In the 'Manage Extensions' dialogue, check that the extension 'Swiss VAT Report 2024' is installed correctly, if necessary click on the Install button.
Template Solution
- Click on the update button in the New File dialogue.
The latest version of the list of available templates will be downloaded. - Report by email, to our support service, the file that was not found.
