News release 10.0.10 of Banana Plus

We are pleased to announce the new release 10.0.10 of Banana Accounting Plus with several improvements and new features. The new release is free for those who have a subscription. To upgrade you only have to re-download Banana and install it, all your data will be kept.

Here are the main features introduced in the new version 10.0.10:

One-row Reverse Charge transaction

It is now much easier to record purchases of services abroad thanks to the Reverse Charge. In the VAT Code column of the Transactions table, you can insert two VAT codes, one for VAT tax liability and one for deduction. In this way, you conclude the operation with a single line of registration.

The operation is compensated. The values in the columns of the VAT percentage, taxable income and VAT amount are preceded by the sign "+/-" to indicate that the amounts are compensated for accounting purposes.  In the account sheet and in the VAT declaration, on the other hand, the amounts are separated by the VAT debit and credit codes.

Command "Copy rows" includes column headings

When you execute the command Edit → Copy Rows to paste them externally into Excel, the column headings are automatically copied as well. In this way in Excel you already have the data of the rows sorted and ready, without having to insert or arrange the titles of the columns to which they belong. This is very useful for those who do detailed analysis of accounting data on Excel.

Here is how the pasted data appear on Excel by selecting only the transactions:

Command "Duplicate rows" includes color formatting

When you duplicate a row by using the Edit → Duplicate Rows command, the color of the row, if any, is also kept in the new row.

Commands and shortcuts for moving rows up and down

Already since version 10.0.9 we have introduced these new commands:

  • Alt+Up Arrow. Moves the current row or the selected ones up.
  • Alt+Down Arrow. Move the current row or the selected ones down.

You can also move blocks of rows quickly: just select several cells vertically and the program moves all the rows.

Enhanced Rename command (Advanced Plan)

If you need to rename a digital document in the accounting file, now you can do it more conveniently thanks to the Data → Rename command available also for the Link column.  In this way, the name of the original file in your computer is automatically renamed as well.

In addition, the Data → Rename command is now also available in the Items table.

Appearance Menu

The Appearance submenu has been included, starting with version 10.0.9, in the Window menu. It allows you to choose which interface elements to display and the display theme (System Default / Light / Dark).

Markdown syntax for file attachments (Advanced Plan)

Only in the Advanced Plan, balance sheets attachments can now also be inserted via markdown language, in addition to html. This is very convenient for inserting tables into attachments.

To get an attachment in markdown:

Updated CH10 and UNI11 invoice layouts

Layout CH10 and UNI11 have been improved: now you can insert product images in your estimates and invoices, so they will look more attractive!

Invoice printing improvements:

  • product images (Advanced plan);
  • initial text and descriptions on multiple lines;
  • columns of the Item table (Advanced plan);
  • order number and date;
  • subtotal with gross amounts.
