The new 10.2.8 release of Banana Accounting Plus is now available! It introduces numerous improvements and resolves several issues reported by users, providing an even smoother and more optimized user experience. Download and install the update to keep your accounting efficient and stable.
If you already have an active Banana Accounting Plus subscription, this new release is free.
- To update the program, simply download Banana again and install it (all your data will be preserved).
- We recommend checking the System requirements before proceeding with the update.

Here are the main features introduced in the new 10.2.8 release:
- Investment Accounting (Advanced plan) - Manage securities directly within your accounting.
- Extended use of neutral numbers - Enter amounts that do not affect the accounting.
- Comments in the Amount, Date and Time columns - Easily add accounting notes.
- Updated ISO 20022 camt file reader - Compatible with the 2019 standard (schema "*.08").
- Improved completion rules - Apply rules based on the transaction period and amount.
- Faster recent files management - New dialog window for quicker management.
- New "Bank Data" view - In the Accounts table.
- Copy rows to the clipboard - Includes the second header row.
- Various other improvements and bug fixes.
Investment Accounting
Investment Accounting is now officially available in the stable release of Banana Accounting (only with the Advanced plan)!
Manage stocks, bonds, funds, and other investments directly in your accounting, including multi-currency accounting.
- You always have the book value of your investments under control.
- You automatically obtain gains and losses on investment sales.
Extended use of neutral numbers
Similar to the reverse accounting solution previously introduced for VAT (Reverse Charge), you can now also enter neutral amounts with a plus/minus sign in the Amount column (for example, by entering "+-123", the program converts it to "±123.00"), without any accounting impact.
A typical use case is investment accounting: by entering the quantity of purchased securities as a neutral number, the program can calculate the profit for each individual security without affecting the accounting records.

Comments in the Amount, Date and Time columns
You can now include comments in the Amount, Date, and Time columns using square brackets (for example, "[this is a comment]"). This makes it easier to annotate and clarify accounting entries.
Updated ISO 20022 camt file reader
The internal ISO 20022 camt file reader (Universal) has been updated and is now compatible with the 2019 standard (schema *.08). This update improves the import process by ensuring greater compatibility with the latest formats used by banks.
The internal ISO reader allows you to import data in two ways:
- Using the SEPA/ISO 20022 Bank Statement Import extension.
- By dragging a camt file into Banana Accounting to preview it.
Improved completion rules
We have improved the Rules conditions (the Completion Rules are available only with the Advanced plan) by adding the Amount and Date fields in addition to Description and Account. These can be configured while creating or editing a rule in the Apply Rules dialog, or directly in the Recurring Transactions table.
For example, you can apply a rule:
- only when the transaction has a specific amount, or define an amount range (by specifying a minimum, maximum, or a specific range).
- to transactions that fall within a specific period (for example, only January transactions, or transactions more recent than a certain date).
Faster recent files management
You can now manage your recent files even while another accounting file is already open, thanks to the new dialog available from the File > Recent Files menu. It's a faster and more direct way to access and manage your recent documents.
New "Bank Details" view
A new Bank Data view (The Accounts table columns) has been added to the Accounts table, allowing you to quickly see these four columns at a glance:
- Bank
- IBAN
- Account
- Clearing
This gives you an immediate overview of your banking information.
Copy rows to the clipboard
When you select rows and copy them to the clipboard using the command Edit > Copy rows, the column headers are now automatically included. This is especially useful when copying data from Banana to Excel for further processing.
Other changes
- Technological improvement thanks to the upgrade to Qt 6.11.1 libraries.
- Bug fixes.
