Discover the new features of September 2025 in the Banana Accounting Dev-Channel version. There are several new features and improvements that we are sure you will appreciate.

With the Banana Dev-Channel version, users of Banana Accounting Plus can preview the innovations our development team is working on. These are features that are still being refined and may still undergo changes. We invite users to give us feedback so that we can optimize the innovations before the final release. For installation and usage of the Dev-Channel version, please refer to the Banana Insider Program page.

Here are the main features introduced in the new 10.2.0 Dev-Channel release:

If you missed the new features from previous Dev-Channel releases, this version includes all previously introduced functionalities, including:

Extended use of neutral numbers

Similar to the reverse charge VAT solution we previously introduced, it is now also possible to enter neutral amounts with plus/minus signs (for example, if you enter "+-123", the programme converts it to "±123.00") in the Amount column, which have no accounting impact.

A typical case is in investment accounting: by entering the purchased quantity of securities as a neutral number, the program can calculate the profit per individual security without affecting the accounting.

Structured addresses

In Switzerland, starting from November 21, 2025, address information for QR invoices must be provided in structured form. For those who want to try it out, this version already includes a new Street Number column, allowing for improved support for structured address formats.

In particular:

  • New Building Number field in the Address section of the File Properties (Basic data).
  • New Building Number column in the Accounts table (Address view).
  • New Building Number column in the Contacts table.

Comments in the Amount and Date columns

It is now possible to include comments in the Amount, Date, and Time columns using square brackets (e.g., “[this is a comment]”). This makes it easier to annotate and clarify accounting entries.

Advanced automatic import of bank transactions in ISO20022 format

The Advanced automatic import of bank transactions feature allows you to update your accounting by automatically importing bank transactions from Camt files (052, 053, 054). It includes both reading the bank data and automatically applying the rules. Thanks to this innovation, you can:

  • Speed up the entire process of recording transactions.
  • Reduce the risk of manual errors.
  • Avoid duplications, as only transactions not yet present in the accounting are imported.

Thanks to forecasts based on real data and budgets, you can view the liquidity trend throughout the year and make more informed decisions to improve operational efficiency and prevent potential cash issues.
