This message dialog informs the user that the extension has been successfully updated.

It is displayed upon completion of the update process for the selected extension.

Cause

This message appears when the program fails to download the update of an extension that is already installed. In these cases, the program asks if you want to disable the extension to avoid further failed update attempts.

The reasons why the program cannot download the update may include:

• The online extension was removed or renamed on Banana’s remote server
• The local extension was removed or renamed

Solution

To avoid further messages, there are three possible solutions:

Custom extensions are extensions that you create, such as to customize the layout of an invoice, that do not link to the banana.ch site but are saved in a local folder. 

To use this type of extension you must have the version of Banana Accounting + Advanced plan, or use the application in Demonstration mode, for example limiting accounting entries to 70 lines.

This message dialog requests confirmation from the user to download and install an extension.

It is displayed within the Manage Extension dialog when an extension that is not yet installed is selected and the installation is initiated, either by clicking the Install button or by selecting the Install option from the context menu.

Causes

VAT on cash received cannot be calculated because the customer and supplier groups are missing.

Solutions

Check that in the Accounts table the totaling groups of customers and suppliers are present, and that in the Reports → Customers (or Suppliers) → Settings menu, the group of customers and suppliers has been selected.
