Investment Accounting Extension [BETA]
The Investment Accounting Extension provides a wide range of commands and reports for investment accounting in Banana Accounting. It is designed to work seamlessly with files configured for investment accounting.
The extension enhances the core accounting functionality of Banana Accounting by adding specialized tools for Investment Accounting. It provides commands and reports for updating market prices, calculating realized gains and losses on sales, creating valuation adjustment transactions, checking balances, reconciling investment values with the corresponding Investment Balance Sheet Accounts, and preparing detailed investment reports.

Requirements
- This extension requires the Advanced plan of Banana Accounting Plus.
- Record investment transactions in chronological order in the Transactions table. This is essential for extensions that calculate or use the book value, because the book value is updated progressively after each transaction in date order.
How to start
- Open Banana Accounting Plus
- Open an existing Investment Accounting file or create a new one using one of the available Investment Accounting templates.
- Choose Extensions > Manage Extensions and install the Investment Accounting extension.
