Update market prices

Dans cet article

This command updates the current market prices of investments in the Items table. Market price data can be imported from a CSV file or from the clipboard.

Before applying the changes, Banana Accounting displays a preview in the Commit changes dialog. Once the changes are confirmed, the imported prices are entered in the Price Current column of the Items table.

Price Current Column

The Price Current column in the Items table contains the current market price used to calculate the current value of the investment.

You can update Price Current manually, by copying and pasting values into the Items table, or by using the Update market prices command to import prices for multiple investments.

When market prices are imported and the changes are confirmed, the command updates the Price Current column of the corresponding Items.

Prepare Current Market Price Data

Current market prices can be obtained from financial information providers and prepared in an Excel or CSV file for import.

For each investment, provide:

  • the ISIN or other identifier used to identify the investment
  • the corresponding current market price.

Make sure that the identifier used in the import data corresponds exactly to the identifier entered for the investment in the Items table.

File Format

The extension expects the data to be in the following two-column format, with ISIN and current market price separated by a semicolon (;):

US123456789;11.04873
IT000792468;10.98732
...
  • First column: The ISIN or other investment identifier.
  • Second column: The current market price, without thousands separators and using a period (".") as the decimal separator.
