Writing Goals

In this article

With every content that you publish you should aim to:

  • Empower. Help our readers understand Banana Accounting by using language that informs them encourages them to make the most of our products.
  • Respect. Treat readers with respect.
  • Educate. Communicate readers what they need to know. Give them the exact information they need and opportunities to learn more. Spread the idea that anyone can learn accounting skills, spread the accounting culture and explain it as a way to reach your personal goals.
  • Write truthfully. Concentrate on real strengths. At all costs, avoid false claims and exaggerations. Communicate what we really are, our values and the benefits we give to people. We shouldn't promise things that we cannot guarantee.

Content characteristics

In order to achieve those goals, we make sure our content is:

  • Clear. Understand your topic. Use simple words and sentences.
  • Useful. Ask yourself: What purpose does this serve? Who will read this? What do they need to know?
  • Friendly. Write human and warm content. Writ by using the second person (you) in order to be more direct and make the user feel closer to us.
  • Appropriate. Write in a way that suits the situation. Adapt your tone depending on who you’re writing to and what you’re writing about.
  • Stimulating. Each work should inform, involve, encourage.

These adjectives set the tone of voice, which reflects, defines and dictates the character of our brand. This tone of voice must be adopted in all our types of content.
