Introduction

This walkthrough provides step-by-step guidance for creating a simple BananaApp that uses JavaScript API to interact with Banana Accounting software.

The “Hello World!” program is a classic tradition in computer programming. It is a short and complete first program for beginners, and it is perfect as first BananaApp example.

Items columns in the Transactions table

The Items columns in the Transactions table are used to enter quantity and price.
The amount of the transactions is calculated on the base of quantity and the applicable price.

    Add the Items columns in the Transactions table

    Use the Tools menu-> Add new functionalities ... command -> Add Items Columns in Transaction table, to insert columns to be added to the table (refer to Transactions page for further information).

    Introduction

    With this add-in you can create Excel sheet that are filled with Banana Accounting data. Once you have added transactions to the accounting file you just need to click on the Update Button of the add-in and your spreadsheet content will be updated with the new data.
    Your existing formatting and formula will be preserved.

    Creating an accounting file, starting from a template

    Proceed as follows:

    1. File menu, New command
    2. Select the Region, the Category and the Accounting type
    3. From the list of the templates that appears, select the template that is closest to your own needs.
    4. Click on the Create button

    In the Search area, when entering a key word, the program displays the templates that contain the entered key word.
