Do you have a new computer and don't know how to reinstall Banana Accounting? No problem: just a few steps and you’ll be up and running again, without losing anything.
If you already have Banana Accounting Plus
Do you already have an active subscription? Perfect — transferring it is super easy:
- Download Banana Accounting Plus from our download page onto your new computer.
- Open the program.
- Enter and verify your email address (the same one used for the subscription).
- The system will automatically recognise your paid subscription. Open your Banana files and you're ready to work.
- Remember that your Banana files (.ac2 format) must be transferred to your new device before you can open them — for example, by using a USB drive, sending them by email, or sharing them via a local network or cloud service.
If you are using an older version (Banana 9, 8, 7, 6 or 5)
Older versions are not compatible with Windows 11: they haven’t been tested or updated to work properly with the new operating systems. Also, we no longer provide the installation files for versions 6, 7, and 8, so it is not possible to reinstall them on a new computer.
To continue working safely and with the latest updates, we recommend switching to Banana Accounting Plus, the latest version of our software — now available as an annual subscription.
Note: the license keys for Banana 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 are not valid for Banana Accounting Plus. This is a new version, based on an annual subscription model, offering constant updates, new features, and full compatibility with the latest operating systems.

How to switch to the new version
- Purchase a Professional or Advanced subscription plan; If you’ve been using a previous version of Banana Accounting (with a one-time purchase license) and you switch to Banana Accounting Plus, we’ll give you an extra month of subscription for free!
- Download Banana Accounting Plus from our download page onto your new computer.
- Install the program and enter the same email address used for the purchase: the system will automatically recognise your paid plan.
- Move your Banana accounting files (.ac2 format) to the new computer, for example by using a USB drive, sending them by email, or sharing them via a local network or cloud service.
- Open your accounting files from the older versions — Even if they were created with previous versions, they are fully compatible with the new subscription version.
