Banana Accounting Web directly in your browser

We are pleased to announce the official release of the first version of Banana Accounting Web, based on the open standard WebAssembly, which allows you to run the application in the most modern browsers, on any platform and without installing anything.

This is a world premiere for an accounting software and this is made possible by the fact that Banana is written in the C++ language and makes use of the QT libraries. The program offers directly in the browser the the Excel-like interface and most of the functionalities of the desktop version. This first version of Banana Web is a technical preview, still in the development phase and will be updated as the WebAssembly technology is perfected and allows for better integration in the operating systems.

How to try Banana Web Accounting?

Trying Banana in the browser is really simple:

The program is downloaded and executed in the browser in a safe environment and you will be amazed at how fast it runs!
You can choose a specific template to start with, use the default template or start a new file from Banana Web Accounting.

Being able to try and use accounting software within the browser brings with it numerous advantages, including:

  • No installation is required. This way you can test Banana Accounting even faster.
  • The data entered is not sent to the servers (as in the case of cloud software), in respect of privacy.
