Banana 6 users can now update at no cost to version 6.0.5, even more refined and fast. Among the improvements, we take note of the fact that the program in general has been optimized and even more so for Mac users. Also to be mentioned is the fast transfer of exchanges rates inserted in the exchange rate history and of earlier entered transactions.

Banana Accounting, leader of its branch in Switzerland, is being always more used in other parts of the world as well. In China, for example, Banana (in chinese "suzhang",  'Fast accounts' ) is listed on a blog that recommends about 15 software programs, which can be downloaded at no cost.

There are many new features, starting with the printouts of the Balance Sheet, which can now be customized, until the function that stores the data in PDF format. Most of all, we have made an effort to make the program even more user-friendly, one of the characteristics for which Banana has, from the start, been appreciated all over the world.

Other highlights: the new modality for entering the texts by means of a drop-down list, which makes the work even more pleasant, and the introduction of the segments, which subdivide the Profit/Loss Statement in a very detailed way.

The Banana Cashbook just won the "5 stars Editor's choice!" award from Getabest.com, the Web's largest library of software downloads.

In the newspaper Basler Zeitung, while presenting Banana for Macintosh, journalist Alfons Studer affirms that it is hard to find a software that allows the user to manage financial accounting right from the start, without first having to study the software itself. With Banana 5, however, this is already possible for PC users and from now on also for Mac users.

A little while ago, the UBS has changed the format of their bank statements. For the users who automatically import the data of the bank statement to Banana Accounting, it is necessary to update the appropriate filters in order to accomodate the importation.
