Importing data from e-banking bank statements
To be able to use this function, you should have installed at least version 5.0.9 of Banana Accounting.
Now users have the possibility to import bank statements, obtained by e-banking from their banks, directly into the accounting file. The systems, with which the bank statements are being elaborated as well as the possibilities to export them, can vary between the different institutions. Banana Accounting is working to make an always bigger range of options available, but we also explain how the user himself can create the right interface to download the bank statements of his own bank.
At the moment, Banana Accounting can import data furnished in the following formats: MT940, OFX, Postfinance, Raiffeisen CSV, UBS CSV, QIF and OFC. We have taken the UBS e-banking system as an example; other institutions may have slightly different systems.
For users who want to import e-banking data from institutions that export in a different way than those that are actually included in Banana Accounting, it is also possible for the user to create himself the import application, by using the Regular Expressions External Tool. Click here to see how.
